Published on

The Future Fund due to be launched next month will provide government loans to businesses worth between £125,000 and £5m, subject to at least equal match funding from private investors.

In partnership with the British Business Bank, the scheme is particularly beneficial to businesses who rely on equity investment and are not afforded access to the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS)

Eligible businesses will be those who:

  • Are based in the UK.
  • Can attract the equivalent match funding from third-party private investors and institutions.
  • Have previously raised a minimum of £250,000 in equity investment from third-party investors, in the past five years.

More comprehensive criteria will be published shortly.
